2025年10月10日、UNHCR難民高等教育プログラム（UNHCR Refugee Higher Education Program – RHEP）の運営組織として一般社団法人RHEP難民教育推進協会が設立されました。

RHEP運営においてこれまで特定非営利活動法人国連UNHCR協会が担っていた役割を引き継いで活動しておりましたが、2026年3月9日、国連難民高等弁務官（UNHCR）駐日事務所とも協力覚書（MoU）を締結しました。

本協力覚書締結により新体制となったRHEPは、難民の背景を持つ若者が高等教育にアクセスできる機会をさらに広げるべく、さらなる事業推進に取り組んでまいります。 

On 10 October 2025, the RHEP Alliance was established as the administrative body of the UNHCR Refugee Higher Education Program (RHEP).

While the RHEP Alliance has already been carrying out the roles previously held by the Japan for UNHCR, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in Japan on 9 March 2026.

This MoU marks the launch of the RHEP’s new operational framework. RHEP Alliance will continue working to expand access to higher education opportunities for young people with refugee backgrounds.
